Prayer Vigils

Benedictines for Peace and NETWORK's Erie Chapter are co-hosting monthly community gatherings to pray for immigrants, migrants, and refugees. You Are Not Alone is held on the second Friday of each month on the steps of the Federal Courthouse from 12:15 to 12:45 PM. A different local faith congregation organizes each month’s vigil. Our many faith traditions call us to love and care for others, especially the vulnerable and marginalized. We recognize the God-given dignity of every person among us. We claim our community as a place of welcome. We choose hope and unity over division and fear, which so many experience through the threat of deportation or family separation. We believe that prayer leads to advocacy and action.
